Joshua manages large, complex events, handles the business of the office, and is given responsibility for complicated technology-related activities.  He carries out his tasks with determination, integrity, creativity, and a high degree of professionalism. Joshua pays close attention to detail, works hard, and is outcomes oriented. He has wide-ranging abilities and knows that dedication and talent drive success

Joshua has consistently offered intelligent, courteous assistance to me and my staff regardless of how tedious the situation.  His communication skills are admirable and he ALWAYS follows through with whatever he initiates, or with request from us.

Joshua Gates is an extraordinary individual. He is capable of performing a variety of complex tasks. His expertise in computer systems, software and web technology is unparalleled. He has always demonstrated a great understanding of both short-term impact and long-range goals.

I’m grateful to have had Joshua as a resource throughout my time here at the university. I would not be where I am without his encouragement and assistance. Wheter as a manager, a mentor, or a colleague, he has continuously set an example for me in my career.

Joshua has never hesitated to offer assitance, be it posting communications on the president’s website or developing sites for special initiatives. Grateful for the way in which he handles the multiple demands of his position, and for the professionalism and sense of pride he brings to USM.

It’s wonderful being able to relax knowing Joshua is taking such good care of integrating and optimizing our digital presence.  Seriously.  I’m totally grateful for all he does and know everyone feels the same.  It’s great creating PechaKucha with him.

Josh has been an integral part of our event operations for the past three years. He consistently demonstrates a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and a knack for improving processes. Josh is professional, respectful, patient, and adept at handling complex situations. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any project.

Joshua has helped run our annual conferences, beginning in 2015 when he worked with our videographer and then advancing to managing the recording of the events, building and managing the online registration and website, as well as marketing. He works well with others, has expertise in AV equipment and has handled events from 250-350 participants to large events with thousands of participants with multiple lecture/performing venues. He is able to remain calm when dealing with unexpected glitches with equipment or problems with people or schedules. He’s been a vital asset to ensuring our events run smoothly.

I first met Joshua at USM. The president of the university hired him to support university events such a Opening Breakfast, Convocation, etc. He is very clever, pleasant, professional, organized, and extremely detail-oriented. I’ve seen him running his own company or in charge of a team. I can tell Josh has really high end gear. Everything looks and sounds great. When he spots me, he always greets me with a happy smile and takes a moment from his work to greet me. I have the highest regard for him and his work. He is exceptional in every way.
